COMMANDER

Abstract

COMMANDER is a collective of authority agents. Most agent systems chase autonomy; this one chases legitimate delegation. Every action traces back to a principal, every decision can be audited after the fact, and every boundary is enforced as data instead of good intentions. It's the governance layer that makes agent autonomy something an enterprise can actually defend, and an answer to the compliance question most agent demos quietly skip.

Came out of enterprise governance work, role-based access design, and a hard-won opinion: autonomy without audit isn't autonomy, it's recklessness.

Declassified

The thing standing between autonomous agents and production isn't capability. It's accountability. Nobody delegates to something they can't audit, reverse, or explain when it gets questioned. So COMMANDER makes delegation first-class: lineage, consent, the ability to revoke. A lot of it comes from building permission models in regulated environments, where being right is the baseline and being able to prove it is the actual job. The specifics stay under glass.
