This is a personal site. It collects as little as possible, sells nothing, and runs no advertising trackers. The details are below.

The short version

Analytics here are cookieless and aggregate, so no personal profile of you is built. Questions typed into the Ask box are sent to an AI provider to generate an answer, and your IP address is used to limit how many can be asked per day. If you email me, I use your address only to reply. Nothing is sold or handed to advertisers.

Analytics

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure loading performance. Both run in cookieless mode: they record aggregate, anonymized signals (page, referrer, rough region, device type, timing) and do not set tracking cookies or build a cross-site profile of you.

The Ask box and search

The Ask box answers questions about my published work. When you send a question, its text is passed to a third-party AI provider to generate the answer, then streamed back to you. Do not type anything confidential into it. To keep costs sane, your IP address is used to cap how many questions can be asked from one place per day; it is not used to identify or profile you. The site's on-page search runs locally against the published content and sends nothing to a third party.

Email and subscribing

If you email me, I keep the thread to reply and follow up, and I will not sell, rent, or share your address. The subscribe form on the site is not yet connected to a mailing service, so entering your email there does not currently send or store it anywhere. When that changes, this notice will be updated and your address will be used only to send new posts, with a one-click unsubscribe.

Cookies and local storage

There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site keeps one small preference in your browser's local storage: your light or dark reading theme, so the page remembers it on your next visit. That value never leaves your device.

Who else is involved

The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes requests and provides the analytics above. The Ask box uses a third-party AI provider to generate answers. Each handles data under its own terms. No other third party receives your information from this site.

Your choices and contact

You can browse without an account and without sending anything. To ask what I hold, to have it removed, or to raise any privacy question, email /contact/. If this notice changes, the effective date above changes with it.
